A Fulbright alumna, Dr Telamisile P. Mkhatshwa serves as a Lecturer in the Department of African Languages and Literature and a Tutor for the Faculty of Humanities. She holds a PhD in Languages, Linguistics, and Literature (UNISA), MA in African Studies and a Certificate in Gender Relations in International Development (University of Illinois, USA), BA and PGCE (UNISWA). Dr Mkhatshwa currently teaches Literature and Translation courses, and focuses her research on African Literature, the intersection of Gender, Literature, and Development, Onomastics and Translation Studies.
