Dr Cynthia Nomagugu Nhleko is a Lecturer in the Department of Academic Communication Skills, and also teaches Theoretical Issues in Language Acquisition under the African Languages Master’s programme. Dr Nhleko earned her PhD in Linguistics from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Her research interests include Second Language Acquisition, Language use and Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, Second Language Writing, Multilingualism, Language Learning and Teaching, English for Academic Purposes as well as English for Specific Purposes.
