Dr. Phindile A. Dlamini is a Lecturer and Head of the Department of English Language and Literature. She holds a PhD and MPhil in Applied Language Studies from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Concurrent Diploma in Education (CDE) from the University of Swaziland. Her publications include journal and newspaper articles on language issues. Her areas of interest are Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Language Variation, Applied Language Studies, Creative Writing, Syntax, Conversational Analysis, Forensic linguistics, Youth languages, and Language Policy and Planning (LPP).
